Broken toilet sparks police CCTV appeal in hunt for smiling man

Police want to speak to a smiling man after a toilet was broken in a Yorkshire hotel.

The criminal damage happened at The Talbot Hotel in Richmond at 10.49pm on Saturday, April 11. It was kicked in by a man.

The suspect is described as a white male, aged around 28 or 29 years old, and about 6ft 1in tall. At the time of the offence he was wearing a white t-shirt, black shorts with a yellow symbol and grey trainers. He has a tattoo on his left forearm, upper left arm and right leg. He was with two other men, although they are not believed to have committed any offences.

North Yorkshire Police are particularly appealing for anyone who may know the smiling man pictured on CCTV, as he may have important information that could assist the investigation.
