Bruce Springsteen Gives Nine-Year-Old Fan A Late Note For School

It’s official; Bruce Springsteen is ruddy amazing.

The rocker has hit the headlines after giving a very young fan a late note for school after he stayed out late at one of Bruce’s concerts.

What. A. Legend.

Nine-year-old Xabi Glovsky stayed up to watch the 66-year-old’s three-and-a-half hour show in Los Angeles last week, so Bruce thought that it was only fair that he helped explain to Xabi’s teacher why he might be late the next day.

The fan’s father took to Twitter to share the hilarious note, which read: “Dear Ms. Jackson, Xabi has been out very late rocking + rolling. Please excuse him if he is tardy.” followed by the star’s familiar autograph at the bottom.

Alongside the note, Xabi’s dad wrote: “Bruce Springsteen signed Xabi’s tardy note for school tomorrow. He is as genuine and gracious as you think he is!”

He later added to Springsteen fan site Backstreets: “Bruce sat down on a couch and started to talk with Xabi, asking for the name of his teacher and how Xabi spelled his name, pulling out a piece of paper and a pen.

"As Xabi sat next to him on the couch, Bruce thoughtfully and artistically created this beautiful note. It was very interesting to watch the artist at work.

"They talked for a few minutes, and Bruce was incredibly nice, caring and generous.”

We have a feeling that Xabi won’t be forgetting this concert in a hurry…
