Welcome back to the Evening Standard's LIVE Bundesliga coverage.

Football in Germany returned with a bang last weekend, and a full round of fixtures kicked off with a one-sided derby on Friday night as Hertha Berlin crushed Union Berlin 4-0.

As for today, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich are both in action before their midweek Klassiker: BVB won 2-0 at Wolfsburg, while table-toppers Bayern beat Eintracht Frankfurt 5-2 in the late kick-off.

There was plenty of entertainment elsewhere: Borussia Monchengladbach were beaten 3-1 Bayer Leverkusen thanks to a Kai Havertz brace; Hoffenheim and Paderborn drew 1-1, while Freiburg were beaten 1-0 at home by Werder Bremen.

Passenger Bus Crashes Into Saint Petersburg River
A bus crashed off a bridge and into the Moyka River in Saint Petersburg, Russia, on Friday, May 10, with local police saying around 20 people were on board.Local media reported that at least five people died, with four “seriously injured”.
