A Weather Channel cameraman had a perfect shot for the implosion of a historic Georgia sports stadium – before a wayward bus completely ruined it.

The Georgia Dome stadium was demolished this week, making room for additions to the new stadium that recently popped up next door. The old stadium had stood for more than 25 years, and local media turned out in droves to cover its collapse.

Footage captured by the Weather Channel and posted to Twitter by the Atlanta Journal Constitution shows a clear view of the sports stadium just seconds before the explosion. The demolition crew counts down, a small explosion goes off, and a slight puff of smoke vanishes into the air.

But then, just before the secondary explosions can deliver the truly crushing blow, a bus pulls in front of the perfectly aligned shot.

“Go bus, get out of the way!” the annoyed videographer yells. “Get out of the way, bus!”

The bus does not comply. Loud crashes can be heard behind it, and dark pillars of smoke rise over its roof, suggesting the major explosions have gone off. But the bus remains parked.
