A bushfire in Bundamba sparked on December 6 after a shipping container filled with fireworks exploded, warranting a temporary emergency warning that was revoked by police after the fire was contained.

According to a report from The Queensland Times, as of the afternoon of December 7, crews continued to monitor the area in the vicinity of Bundamba’s Warrego Highway.
