Do you remember Cadbury’s Tiffin bar?

The chocolate, biscuit and raisin snack is set to hit return to stores after a successful internet campaign to bring it back.

First launched in 1937, the bar hasn’t been seen in the UK since 2003.

Cadbury originally stopped making the Tiffin bar back in 1972, but then brought it back due to popular demand in 1985.

The company, now under new ownership, will relaunch the former favourite next month, with a limited edition run of three million on sale.

Now called Cadbury Dairy Milk Tiffin, the chocolate bar will cost ÂŁ1.49 for a large, 95g bar, according to trade journal The Grocer.

Cadbury marketing director Matthew Williams said: “It was such a huge success that consumers have been appealing for its return on social media.

"We know consumers are looking for new tastes, experiences and textures so, with its classic recipe, we believe this limited edition tablet will deliver an exciting eating experience.”

The reaction on social media was divided between those who were excited about the relaunch – and those who couldn’t remember the bar from the last time around.

“Tiffin? you bring back tiffin but you won’t bring back the SMILEY BAR,” wrote @dmarie2204.

And @DonOftheDead80 added: “Never heard of a Tiffin Bar…”

Tiffin follows Cadbury’s Wispa and and McVitie’s Trio in having been brought back following social media campaigns.
