A cafe and beauty studio in Reading could serve wine and cocktails to customers.

Victoria Varga, the owner of Varga's Hair Design and Cafe Bar in Wokingham Road, East Reading wants to provide drinks to customers while they are in for treatments.

The beautician also serves as a cafe, with the aim to add a Latin bar to the premises.

Ms Varga explained: "It's going to be a Latin bar, I'll be selling Latin cocktails, beers, wines and shots."

She added that she aims to sell lagers such as Peroni and Kronenburg, and rum such as Bacardi and Captain Morgan from her business.

To meet these ambitions, Ms Varga has applied to supply alcohol from 12pm to 11pm each day.

The application has been made to Reading Borough Council's licensing department.

You can comment on the application by emailing licensing@reading.gov.uk , with the deadline for responses being reached on Wednesday, July 3.

Varga's has been around since the mid 2010s, moving into a unit previously occupied by Carsons estate agents.

The hair studio and cafe is located near the Three Tuns junction, which serves as the boundary between Reading and Earley in Wokingham Borough.
