Yahoo News Calbourne Water Mill to open to visitors this summer
Isle of Wight tourist attraction Calbourne Water Mill has announced it will open once again next month, after closing earlier this year.
The historic park, which closed back in April, has revealed it will be opening its café and garden for the summer.
The water mill is set to welcome visitors from July 20.
“Come along and enjoy the beautiful setting at Calbourne Water Mill,” said a spokesperson for the site.
“See wonderful wildlife, relax with a tasty cake or coffee in our cafe, and explore the historic grounds.”
Entry is free and the site is open from 10am to 5pm.
Last month, historic items at the water mill went under the hammer, raising thousands of pounds for the attraction.
The mill said it hoped the money would be enough to fix its pit wheel, which had fallen into a state of disrepair.
Hundreds of people turned out for the auction hosted by HRD Auction Rooms, on Saturday, May 5.
Auctioneer and valuer, Warren Riches, said 98 per cent of items listed were sold, including a Dennis Fire Engine, which went for £6,800, and a tasker steam engine, for £13,600.
