Caldor Fire Evacuations Downgraded as Containment Increases

California’s 219,267-acre Caldor Fire was 68 percent contained by September 14, fire officials said, with some evacuation orders and warnings downgraded the day before.

As evacuation orders and warnings changed, residents returned to their homes, while Gov Gavin Newsom welcomed President Joe Biden to California to survey damage from the Caldor Fire on Monday.
