Artists from Universal Music Group, which include Taylor Swift, Drake, Adele, Bad Bunny and Billie Eilish, will be returning to TikTok as the two parties have struck a new licensing agreement following an approximately three-month long dispute. The two sides said Thursday, May 2, 2024, that they are now working expeditiously to return music by artists represented by Universal Music Group and songwriters represented by Universal Music Publishing Group to TikTok in due course. Capital Radio has announced they're launching a pop-up station that's all about Taylor Swift, perfectly timed as she gears up to start the UK leg of The Eras Tour this Friday, 7 June.

The pop sensation is scheduled for a trio of performances at Edinburgh's iconic Murrayfield Stadium before taking her show to Liverpool, Cardiff, and London.

In a move sure to delight Swifties, Capital's pop-up station will be a haven of non-stop Taylor tunes. They've even cheekily dubbed it Capital (Taylor's Version). Eager fans can catch all the action on Capital (Taylor's Version) through DAB digital radio or Global Player, reports Wales Online.

Capital took to Instagram with a post saying: "Once upon a time, the planets and the fates and the stars aligned... and Capital (Taylor's Version) was born. To celebrate @TaylorSwift bringing 'The Eras Tour' to the UK, we're playing Taylor's biggest tracks 24/7 on our dedicated Swift music station. Listen now on @globalplayer, the official Capital app."

This marks a first in the UK, a national DAB radio station devoted entirely to a single artist. Brent Tobin, Capital's managing editor, couldn't hide his excitement: "We were so excited to create this pop up radio station to celebrate Taylor Swift. It's set to be a fan favourite, with not only the greatest songs, but top trivia and tour news."

"We'll be on air until it's So Long, London. We hope all the Swifties join us for the ultimate tour celebration."

Liverpool will soon join in on the celebrations with the 'Taylor Town Trail', featuring 11 art installations inspired by different Taylor Swift eras. From Saturday, June 8 until Sunday, June 16, locations across Liverpool including Liverpool ONE, Royal Albert Dock Liverpool and the Metquarter will host these new works.

Each installation will reflect the style and stories of each album, creating perfect selfie spots for Swifties.
