Caprice quit The Jump after being diagnosed with brain tumour

Caprice Bourret has revealed she left reality show The Jump after she was diagnosed with a brain tumour.

The 45-year-old model and businesswoman has undergone surgery for the tumour, which she discovered while competing in the Channel 4 show in February.

At the time, a representative said she had withdrawn from the celebrity winter sports show due to illness.

In an interview with Hello! magazine, she said: "I was diagnosed with a brain tumour. I found out while I was competing in the show and boy, was it more horrific than any of the challenges."

The mother-of-two credits the show with saving her life because they had insisted she see a doctor for her persistent headaches.

"I had headaches that were not going away and my vision was beginning to act up so the show's production insisted I see their doctor," she told the magazine.

A growth the size of a human thumb was detected in her brain.

She added: "My first thought was for my two little boys. I'm their rock and keep my family together.

"It was the scariest moment I'd ever experienced."

The full interview will be featured in this week's edition of the magazine.
