Car deliberately set on fire in Paisley in early hours as police hunt launched

A car and a bin were deliberately torched in the early hours of this morning in Paisley.

The wilful fire happened around 2.45am on Monday, June 3 on Bute Crescent in the town. Police are hunting for the culprit as officers appeal for anyone with information to come forward.

Detective Sergeant David Tomlinson said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have information to contact us.

“We also ask anyone with private CCTV of the area at the time to come forward.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 0304 of 3 June, 2024. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
