Carol Vorderman has reignited her bitter feud with Michelle Mone in a This Morning rant where she said: "I dropped her like a stone as soon as I realised what kind of person she was - sue me, Michelle."

Vorderman's Friday co-stars Alison Hammond, Dermot O'Leary and Gyles Brandreth looked nervous as she waded into claims about Mone's involvement with government PPE contracts, but the TV star didn't hold back in her views.

She has previously claimed that lingerie boss Mone, who she used to be friends with, should be in jail, alleging she made money from PPE contracts during the Covid pandemic.

In Friday's ITV chat about the day's news, Vorderman said: "Now, I cannot talk about useless PPE without also talking about Michelle Mone, who was brought into the House of Lords as a baroness by David Cameron.

"We know she has 'taken leave of absence' without losing the Tory whip to start with because she was actively involved, as it goes, with a company called PPE Medpro.

"Now, Michelle Mone I knew, many years ago, and then dropped her like a stone as soon as I realised what kind of person she was."

She then held her hands up to the camera and said: "Sue me, Michelle."

Vorderman continued: "She lives in the Isle of Man with her husband Doug Barrowman, who has been involved with numerous - and it's all accounted, it's all in the press..."

Show host Hammond had to interrupt her to say: "Carol, can I just say, she's not here to defend herself."

She replied: "No, she's not here to defend herself, but I'm repeating what has been said in the press and has been proven to be true."

She went on to describe various multi-million pound Department of Health PPE contracts awarded to the company, and the unusable products they supplied.

Vorderman continued: "The big question to be proven - which, ha - was Michelle Mone actively involved and have they benefitted. They bought a private jet after that, they bought a big yacht after that, they bought another house."

Later in the show, after Hammond telling Vorderman she had been described in some newspapers as a "high-class hun", Brandreth asked his friend whether she had ever done dry January which involves giving up booze for the month.

When Vorderman replied that she hadn't, Brandreth joked that the This Morning producers could be considering claiming she'd had a drink as an excuse for her rant about Mone.
