Cast revealed for His Majesty's Theatre pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk

The cast gathered in Union Terrace Gardens to mark the countdown to panto season

The principal cast of this year’s His Majesty’s Theatre pantomime have been confirmed, gathering at Union Terrace Gardens to launch this year’s performance, Jack and the Beanstalk.

From Saturday, November 30 2024 until Sunday, January 5 2025, the star of Gary: Tank Commander Greg McHugh will once again be bringing plenty of festive laughs to Aberdeen.

The Scottish BAFTA award-winning actor and writer will also be joining beloved panto Dame Alan McHugh, returning for his 20th year as Dame Trot.

Comic actor and River City star Paul J Corrigan will perform the role of Pat the Cow, while CBeebies star and Aberdeen's own Danielle Jam is back as The Spirit of the Beans.

Actor and comedienne Julie Coombe will take up the role of Mrs Blunderbore.

Completing the cast are Aberdeen actors Michael Karl-Lewis and Jemma Ferries, who are back to charm their home crowd as Jack and Princess Jill.

Aberdeen Performing Arts spokesperson: "Our fabulous panto cast have brought bundles of festive fun and sparkle to Union Terrace Gardens today.

"It may only be June but we are counting the days until Jack and the Beanstalk kicks off at His Majesty’s Theatre this November!"

The returning cast delighted Aberdeen audiences last year in Sleeping Beauty and received rave reviews throughout the run.

The stellar group are set to entertain and spread Christmas joy with performances starting from November 30 and running until January.
