Castle Rock cancelled by Hulu after two seasons
Hulu has decided not to renew horror anthology Castle Rock for season three.
Featuring a number of Stephen King characters, the series brought to life or referenced the likes of Misery's Annie Wilkes, The Shining's Overlook Hotel, Shawshank State Penitentiary, Cujo and Children of the Corn.
The news of Castle Rock's cancellation arrives via TVLine, although a specific reason is yet to be revealed.

Still, for King fans the future remains bright – CBS All Access' adaptation of his iconic novel The Stand is on the horizon, short story Throttle (co-written by his son Joe Hill) will be turned into a feature-length TV film by HBO Max, and If It Bleeds entry Mr Harrigan's Phone is getting the big screen treatment from American Horror Story mastermind Ryan Murphy.
Back in July, Doctor Sleep director Mike Flanagan teased another King story he's also adapting – 2014's Revival.
"What I love about it is it's a return to cosmic horror, which I think is so fun," he said. "It is relentlessly dark and cynical and I'm enjoying the hell out of that."

Hinting at a "bleak and mean" approach to Revival, the filmmaker admitted that his picture won't have a "sentimental approach".
"I haven't gotten to end a movie [this] way since Absentia, maybe? Maybe Ouija? This one was a really fun piece of material for me because I get to be like, 'Oh you want a dark ending? Cool, get ready.'"
Castle Rock aired on Hulu in the US.
