Castleford Tigers secure Wigan Warriors prop Sam Eseh ahead of London clash

Castleford Tigers have bolstered their pack with the arrival of Wigan Warriors prop Sam Eseh. The powerful forward has joined the club on an initial two-week deal and will be in contention to play for them when they face London Broncos in a bottom of the table clash later this week.

Eseh is a new signing at the Warriors having joined the club in the off-season from Wakefield Trinity, where he made 15 appearances before they were relegated from Super League. The 20-year-old has also previously played for Barrow Raiders and Featherstone Rovers.

He has just returned to action after a hamstring injury suffered in the pre-season. But he came through Wigan's reserve grade game against Castleford at the weekend and will now step up his game time with a spell at the Tigers, which will see coach Craig Lingard bring in a fourth new face in the space of a week, with Louis Senior, Tex Hoy and Corey Hall all arriving in recent days.

They face an important game against London on Friday, with the Broncos still winless and bottom of the table. Castleford have one win to their name after defeating Salford earlier in the season but will be keen to secure another victory that could potentially see them climb to ninth in the table should Leigh Leopards and Hull FC lose their respective games.
