Shoppers have been singing the praises of a moisturiser loved by TV presenter Cat Deeley, which they claim has cured eczema and eliminated wrinkles. The Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream, a favourite of the star, is an all-rounder that can be used on the face, lips, and other areas needing extra care.

Currently on sale at Amazon with a 45 per cent discount, from £28 down to £15.50, the product was created more than 70 years ago in 1930 by Elizabeth Arden herself, with the product description boasting that it is "the first ever cosmetic product to bear the Elizabeth Arden name."

It goes on to describe: "Since its debut, Eight Hour has escalated to near cult status. This all-in-one beauty secret calms, protects and hydrates skin for up to eight hours. Apply liberally as often as necessary, anytime anywhere you need."

In an interview with Good Housekeeping magazine, Cat Deeley revealed she uses the Eight Hour Cream on her lips when she's not filming, reports Nottinghamshire Live.

With over 7,000 comments on Amazon, one shopper wrote: "Marvellous product which has not only cured my atopic eczema overnight, but reduced my wrinkles round my eyes. Downside the packaging was slightly damaged."

A second enthused: "I have discovered an excellent moisturizer. At 53 years old, I have been exploring various creams and moisturizers to combat forehead wrinkles, crow's feet around the eyes, and other signs of aging. After trying different products, I can confidently say that this moisturizer is one of the best. It has become a staple in my daily skincare routine.

"While some products like retinol can be used every other day for effectiveness, this moisturizer can definitely be used daily. It leaves my skin rejuvenated and deeply moisturized as claimed. My skin looks and feels years younger, especially when used in combination with other retinol products. People have even asked if I've had work done on my face, or what my secret is.

"I've also gifted this to my 83-year-old mother, and she is thrilled with the results. The scent is pleasant to me, but it is quite spicy and noticeable. The texture is quite thick, so a little goes a long way. If you apply too much, it can feel like you have Vaseline on your face. However, it does absorb without leaving your face too shiny, giving it a healthy glow. I highly recommend this product."

However, not everyone was impressed, with one customer complaining about the cream's strong odour. They said: "As soon as I removed the lid I immediately smelt a horrible, pungent smell. There was no way I would ever use the cream, no matter how good reviewers claim it is. My advice is to find another product. It's unfortunate that Amazon won't do a refund."
