Celebrity Big Brother's White House faced the first crisis of Kirstie Alley's administration on Monday all thanks to transatlantic confusion over biscuits.

President Kirstie almost irrevocably breached trust with her vice president, former Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas, while the two were discussing how she likes to throw dinner parties for her very famous friends.

Ryan's mind was truly boggled when Kirstie mentioned that her favourite meal to make for friends is old-fashioned sausage, gravy and biscuits. That's right, gravy and biscuits.

"You can't put gravy on your biscuits. They go in your tea?!" Ryan grimaced.

Try them at KFC sometime, people! They're nothing at all like a Yorkshire Pudding, but you'll like them - we'd advise against dunking in your tea, though.

Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on Channel 5, followed by Rylan Clark-Neal presenting Bit on the Side at 11pm.
