CCTV appeal after man chased and robbed in Blackpool as police hunt taxi rank witnesses

A man has been robbed in a Blackpool street prompting police to launch a CCTV appeal.

The incident happened in Talbot Road at around 4am on Sunday, April 21. Police said the victim was chased along Dickson Road before he was robbed of his possessions on Talbot Road.

Two months on from the robbery, officers have today (June 21) released CCTV pictures of a man they want to identify in connection with the incident. They are also appealing for witnesses who were at or around the taxi rank on Dickson Road at around the time of the robbery.

In a statement, Blackpool Police said: "We are asking for your help to identify a man following a robbery on Talbot Road, Blackpool. The incident happened on Sunday 21st April 2024 at approximately 4am.

"The victim was chased along Dickson Road before he was robbed of his possessions on Talbot Road. We appreciate this happened some time ago, and whilst we have been making enquiries since that date, we now need to ask for your help.

"We are looking to identify the man in the CCTV stills who we want to speak to in connection with our investigation. We are also looking for any witnesses who were at or around the taxi rank on Dickson Road at around 4am on 21/04/24.

"We know these images aren't of the highest quality, however we are asking for anyone who thinks they recognise this person to get in contact. If you recognise the man in the images, witnessed this incident, or have any information which could help our investigation please contact 101, quoting log 0262 of 21st April 2024."
