James Buckley was named Star Baker on The Great Stand Up To Cancer Bake Off after presenting judges with a cake shaped like a toilet.

The Inbetweeners actor joined Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt, EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer, and Oscar-winning Jaws star Richard Dreyfuss on the latest celebrity edition of the Channel 4 baking show, and was challenged to make a Showstopper that represented his favourite place.

Buckley said of his creation: “My favourite place is the toilet. There’s no kids, there’s a lock on the door... Sometimes I do a bit of writing on the toilet.”

The 32-year-old actor is father to sons Jude, six, and Harrison, eight, with wife of seven years Clair Meek.

His toilet cake came complete with chocolate poos and a pile of loo roll.

He joked: “Anal hygiene is a thing very close to my heart.”

Presenting his cake to judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith he said: “I can’t look you in the eye.”

But they admitted his cake tasted good, and after showing consistent baking promise throughout the competition he was named the winner.

Buckley said: “Well I have just won the Star Baker apron. Maybe if me and the Mrs goes away for the weekend I’ll pack it, slip into it and surprise her!”

Paul Hollywood said: “It does remind me of an emoji...” While Leith added: “Or a very large cowpat.”

Presenter Sandi Toksvig quipped: “More like close encounters of the turd kind!”

But Hollywood went on to tell the 72-year-old Oscar-winning actor: “Looks hideous, tastes amazing. Decoration is not your strong point, but baking certainly may be.”

Announcing the winner starstruck host Noel Fielding told Dreyfuss: “If it was down to me you were in Jaws you’d have won.”

Judge Hollywood was also humbled by the actor, embracing him and telling him, “You’re a legend!”
