The Scottish actor survived another eviction this week as he faced Jedward and James Jordan, who was booted out of the house following the public vote, on Tuesday night.

This was the third time James C has faced eviction this series and as a result his odds on winning the reality show have been slashed, with BoyleSports now reporting that the 68-year-old star is the 7/4 favourite to take the crown.

Jedward, who received the most nominations from the rest of their housemates ahead of the eviction, had their odds shortened to 7/1 from 8/1 after avoiding the chop.

However, James C’s biggest competition is Calum Best, who currently holds his position as the 4/1 second favourite to win.

Aoife Heffron, PR Executive for BoyleSports told TellyMix: “The housemates may think James Cosmo is too dignified to be in the Celebrity Big Brother house, but punters think he is the perfect winner as they continue to relentlessly back him to win.”

She added: “Cosmo was a 20/1 shot when he entered the house and slowly began to win support, but in the past two days the bets have been rolling in thick and fast, forcing us to cut him into the clear 7/4 favourite.”

James C will have to battle to keep his place in the house for a while longer yet though, as it has been confirmed that the live final will be broadcast on Friday, February 3.
