Celebrity Big Brother viewers ‘gutted’ as Shaun Williamson gets boot in shock eviction

Actor Shaun Williamson has left the Celebrity Big Brother in a shock eviction, leaving only five finalists in with a chance of being crowned series winner.

The EastEnders star became the eighth person to be kicked out of the Channel 5 house following Thursday's public vote, leaving the last leg of the competition between Sarah Harding, Jemma Lucy, Sam Thompson, Derek Acorah, Amelia Lily and Chad Johnson.

The big reveal came after an exciting day for the housemates, who were treated to a visit - and some awkward challenges - from the former housemates.

Williamson was the first in line and was instructed by first evictee Marissa Jade to dress up as and behave like a dog.

His exit apparently came as a shock to remaining housemates and viewers alike, but he said quickly: "It's all good...it's not a problem".

One viewer wrote on Twitter: "Can't believe this! He didn't deserve that!" while another added: "He was a genuine gent".

Another said: "Absolutely gutted here, Shaun didn't deserve a backdoor eviction at all!"

Another paid tribute to Williamson's handling of the vote, posting: "I think a backdoor eviction is mean at this late stage but luckily Shaun is mature enough to handle it."

The final Celebrity Big Brother showdown will air at 9pm on Channel 5 on Friday.
