Celebrity Big Brother 2017: Why did Nicola McLean cover her eye during explosive row with Kim Woodburn?

Celebrity Big Brother viewers expressed their concern last night as Nicola McLean kept her eye covered during an explosive row with Kim Woodburn, who was later removed from the main house.

The mother-of-two was first seen with her hand over her eye as Kim launched into a foul-mouthed attack against Bianca Gascoigne, who Nicola boldly defended during a confrontation in the bedroom before escaping to the Diary Room.

In the sanctuary of the private room, a tearful Nicola insisted that she wanted to leave the show, while continuing to clasp her hand over her face, sparking speculation amongst fans that the bitter feud might have turned physical.

However, according to the Mirror, the real reason behind Nicola covering her eye has now been revealed.

A Celebrity Big Brother spokesperson told the publication: “Nicola is absolutely fine. She was trying to remove her contact lenses at the time.

“She was in the middle of doing so when the argument broke out. She was just trying to take out her contacts.”
