ITV has announced who is replacing Fearne Cotton on Celebrity Juice, and it's none other than Paddy McGuinness.

Despite previous speculation that Emily Atack may be taking over, it's the Take Me Out presenter who's joining as captain – accompanied by new series regular and team member Stacey Solomon – when the ITV2 show returns in March.

"I was a guest on the first ever episode, and I've done every series since. So I've always felt like part of the Juice family," Paddy said.

"Keith [Lemon]'s one of my best mates, I love Holly [Willoughby], and we all have a natural rapport. I'm looking forward to the chaos!"

Stacey said: "I'm so bloomin' excited to be joining the Juice family. I have loved the show since it began and always enjoyed being a guest, so to get to be part of the furniture is a dream come true."

Atack will feature in the new 10-part series as one of the celebrity panellists. Other guests lined up include Amanda Holden, Will Mellor, and Johnny Vegas.

Fearne confirmed that she had quit back in December, saying at the time that "it has been a joy to be part of this magnificent show".

Last month, she expanded on why she decided to leave, explaining that she wanted to "have a shake-up" in her life.

"I think you need to have change and have a shake-up in life every now and again and take risks and feel a bit scared again," she shared.

"It was the same when I left Radio 1 – I left on a bit of a high and wanted to try something new and have a new adventure. It's very much with that sort of feeling attached to it."

Celebrity Juice returns to ITV2 in March.
