Yahoo News Celebrity Juice's Keith Lemon reveals why Emily Atack lost out to Paddy McGuinness
When Fearne Cotton announced she was leaving her position of Celebrity Juice team captain, everyone thought that Emily Atack would be the perfect person to take over.
She was hugely impressive on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! and multiple fans tweeted about how good she'd be.
Keith Lemon even teased that he had been working with Emily on something, but it was eventually revealed that Paddy McGuinness would be getting the job.
Ahead of the return of Juice for the new series, Keith explained: "There were rumours about it being Emily Atack and I love her to death, but it was always going to be Paddy.
"Me and Holly [Willoughby] met up to discuss who would take over and we just agreed immediately that it had to be Paddy. She's really good mates with him and while she's my TV sister, Paddy's my TV brother.
"I think it's great because if we'd have got another girl there would have been too many comparisons with Fearne."
Emily herself has no hard feelings, saying recently: "Paddy will be amazing! Paddy is just brilliant and he's great for the job.
"The Celeb Juice job was never mine, people just guessed, but it was quite funny to watch the rumours."
Since leaving the jungle, Emily has got herself a job alongside Gary Lineker promoting Walkers – and we're really hoping she gets unlimited free crisps out of it.
Celebrity Juice returns this Thursday (March 21) at 10pm on ITV2.
