They'll be hoping to follow in the footsteps of last year's Celebrity MasterChef champion Kadeena Cox by battling it out over six weeks of kitchen trials.

In the first four weeks of heats, challenges will include popular rounds Under The Cloche, The Street Food Challenge and Dinner Party Dish.

Successful celebrities will then face the gruelling semis and finals weeks, where the post-pandemic contest will see the show back to challenges that involve cooking for large groups of people.

Celebrity MasterChef will again be judged by John Torode and Gregg Wallace, and is due back on TV over the summer.

MasterChef series editor Katie Attwood said: “Celebrity MasterChef is a firm favourite in the television must-see calendar and this series is as funny, engaging and nail-biting as ever. John and Gregg are in for a treat, as are our viewers.”

BBC commissioning editor Sarah Clay said: “This line up will absolutely cement Celebrity MasterChef as one of the nation's most loved cookery programmes, with a lot of laughter alongside fierce competition guaranteed. The level of cooking is fantastic this year and you can really see how much it means to them all.”
