The Balenciaga fall 2024 couture show, held in Paris on Wednesday, turned into a family affair. Nicole Kidman, Naomi Watts and Maya Rudolph sat with their daughters in the front row, continuing a long tradition of celebrity moms and daughters bonding at fashion shows.

In 1954, Queen Elizabeth and her daughter Princess Margaret attended a fashion show organized by the Society of London Fashion Designers at the Carlton House Terrace home of Viscountess Camrose. Lady Pamela Berry, then president of the society, hosted the royal pair at the event that preceded London Fashion Week.

Nicky and Paris Hilton grew up attending fashion shows in New York thanks to their mother, Kathy Hilton, who would often bring them to the fashionable events. In 2003, the trio attended the New York Fashion Week fall season.

Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian and North West coordinated in black outfits for the Jean-Paul Gaultier fall 2022 couture show during Paris Fashion Week. North has been sitting in the front rows since she was a one-year-old, making her debut at the Balenciaga spring 2015 show.

Salma Hayek and Valentina Pinault, 2023

Salma Hayek brought her daughter Valentina Paloma Pinault to the Gucci fall 2023 show at Milan Fashion Week. The duo was also seen at the Balenciaga show during the Paris Fashion Week spring 2022 season.
