Out of respect for the late Love Island star Mike Thalassitis, E4's Celebs Go Dating have postponed their end-of-series wrap party.

The reality star died while the latest series of the show was airing. It featured contestants Megan McKenna (who was romantically involved with Mike last year) and Sam Thompson (who appeared on CGD alongside Mike in a previous series).

Kerry Katona, who was also part of the most recent series, revealed the news in her new! magazine column.

"The Celebs Go Dating wrap party was postponed last week in the wake of what happened," she wrote.

"Obviously Megan McKenna wouldn't be there, and I know Sam Thompson's devastated. It just feels like the whole thing wouldn't be appropriate right now."

The star also reveals that she has reached out to Megan to offer her support, and understands that the TOWIE alumni will need time to grieve.

"Such a sad, unnecessary loss," added the former Atomic Kitten singer.

The show itself paid an on-air tribute to Mike in the first episode that aired after his passing became public knowledge, while Megan and Sam themselves have also shared messages about him.

Meanwhile, MTV have pulled the latest series of Ex on the Beach, which Mike had filmed for, while the producers of Love Island have said that they will improve the aftercare they provide to contestants after facing criticism.
