Celtic draws with Motherwell in Scottish league

MOTHERWELL, Scotland (AP) — A late equalizer from John Sutton earned Motherwell a point in a 3-3 pulsating draw against Celtic in the Scottish league on Saturday.

Sutton opened the scoring in the 5th minute and Zaine Francis-Angol made it 2-0 for the home side after Motherwell goalkeeper Gunnar Nielsen saved a penalty from Kris Commons.

Anthony Stokes pulled one back just before the interval and Georgios Samaras leveled 10 minutes after the break before Celtic substitute Leigh Griffiths grabbed a third in the 84th.

But Motherwell hit back through Sutton in injury time to reduce the gap to second-placed Aberdeen to three points. Celtic has already wrapped up the title.
