Challenge accepted! But Nico Rosberg’s response to Cristiano Ronaldo backfires as former F1 star breaks neighbours’ plant pots

We’ve all been there. A friend challenges you to better their score, and before you have time to consider the consequences, your competitive edge kicks in.

That’s what happened when Nico Rosberg accepted Cristiano Ronaldo’s keepie-uppie challenge.

The former F1 champion, golfer Rory McIlroy and MMA star Conor McGregor were among seven celebrities nominated by the Real Madrid star to show off their football skills on Instagram with the hashtag #CR7challenge.

Posting a video on his own account, Rosberg started off fairly promisingly, before things took a turn for the worse at the end.

A bus crashed off a bridge and into the Moyka River in Saint Petersburg, Russia, on Friday, May 10, with local police saying around 20 people were on board.Local media reported that at least five people died, with four “seriously injured”.
