Channel 4 And Netflix Team Up For New Show From Skins Creator

There’s big news for Skins fans as the show’s creator Bryan Elsley has crafted a brand new series, Kiss Me First, which will air on E4 and around the world on Netflix.

Channel 4 announced today that it has partnered with the streaming giant on the new “innovative and emotional” thriller show, which will mix live action with computer-generated scenes and state-of-the-art animation sequences.

Kiss Me First centres on 17-year-old Leila, a lonely teenager addicted to an online game called Agora. In the virtual game, she comes across Tess and soon decides to become friends with her in real life.

However, when Tess goes missing, Leila assumes her identity and works to get to the truth behind her disappearance.

Piers Wenger, Head of Drama at Channel 4, said; “This is a thrilling and truly ground-breaking series which takes an emotional look at the lives of a group of young gamers and the truth which exists behind their online life.

“We are thrilled to be welcoming Bryan Elsley back to E4 to lead a group of new writers and to helm this exciting new show.”

Kiss Me First will air in six one-hour instalments on E4, and Netflix around the world, and is adapted from Lottie Moggach’s book of the same name.

Channel 4 also announced plans for new comedy dramas Loaded and Foreign Bodies.
