Viewers of The Piano were left reaching for the tissues after Brad Kella's stunning performance in the finale.

The 22-year-old Liverpool talent, who was among the seven finalists on tonight's episode of the hit Channel 4 show, dedicated his final act to his foster parents, saying: "They give me the capability to dream and believe that anything is actually possible."

Brad, who has been open about the challenges faced by children in foster care, stated: "There's a stigma with kids in foster care and we genuinely get seen as just a number. I want to show people what a number could do."

Claudia Winkleman, the show's host, couldn't hold back her tears following Brad's extraordinary piano performance. Judges Mika and Lang Lang named Brad's act as the performance of the night, leaving the gifted Liverpudlian overwhelmed with emotion as he clinched the top prize.

In an emotional response, Brad said: "I want to show the country that us care kids can still do stuff. We need to be pushed and around the right people. Thank you so much.", reports the Liverpool Echo.

Post-show updates revealed that Brad's partner is expecting their second child and he's busy working on the Leeds piano trail initiative.

Social media users on platform X were unanimous in their praise, predicting a bright future for Brad and suggesting he should score a film.

@Cheerfulnemesis tweeted: "Someone give Brad a film to score. He's amazing. Absolute standout performance and such a lovely guy".
