The Chase's Mark Labbett 'feels good' in first pics since Hayley Palmer split and shares summer plan

The Chase star Mark Labbett has shared his plans for the summer following his split from girlfriend Hayley Palmer last month. The 58-year-old, nicknamed The Beast on the ITV show, took to social media on Tuesday evening (June 11) to share photos of himself enjoying dinner at a restaurant.

Mark can be seen tucking into a bowl of soup and freshly baked bread before adding another Instagram story of a dish comprising of meat and veg. He cuts a trim figure in a navy t-shirt and glares at the camera with a bright smile.

The TV star captioned the social media post detailing plans to live a healthy lifestyle over the summer months. He penned: "My summer of protein and pain. Gym, nutrition #seasonswickersley feels good to be The Beast :)."

Fans of The Chaser wasted no time in flooding the comments section with compliments for the star with one person writing: "Fantastic work Mark you're looking great!."

A second exclaimed: "Jesus!!!! How much weight have you lost, you look good Mark fair play to you." While a third shared their reaction and wrote: "Looking great, Mark great to see your progress."

Another suggested: "Congrats - gonna need a new nickname soon", while one fan exclaimed: "Unbelievable Mark, what a transformation, congrats."

"What's your secret the diet", asked one follower as another simply commented: "Smashing it." Mark has already lost 10 stone after transforming his lifestyle following a medical diagnosis.

The dad-of-one's life took a turn when he was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2016 which spurred him to make changes to his diet and exercise habits. He has since documented his weight loss journey on social media.

The TV star had been dating TV presenter Hayley Palmer for a year however the pair split last month shortly after celebrating their first anniversary together with a Beefeater pub meal and walk on the beach.

Confirming the news of their break-up on her Instagram Stories in May, Hayley wrote: "It is with regret I announce that myself and Mark have gone our separate ways.

"We had the best year together and I truly wish him all the best for the future". She added: 'Off I go to listen to Taylor Swift,' with a broken heart emoji.
