Cheating Lover Spends Night On Narrow Ledge After Husband Unexpectedly Comes Home

A Chinese wife’s illicit lover spent the night stuck out on an apartment block’s narrow ledge after her husband arrived home unexpectedly.

Her boyfriend bolted out of the Shishi, Fujian Province, seventh floor flat’s window to avoid a confrontation with his love rival.

He perched on the ledge, between two air-conditioning units, for several hours.

It was only when the woman’s husband went back to work the following day that she called emergency services to help rescue him.

Astonishing images show the man being hauled back inside by firefighters.

They are reminiscent of guerilla street artist Banksy’s “The Well Hung Lover,” which depicts a naked boyfriend dangling from a window as the adulterous wife and her husband, who’s just come home, look out.

The stencil (pictured below) was painted onto a Bristol building in 2006.

“Fortunately he had already dressed himself and was about to leave when the woman’s husband came home, and she had managed to persuade him to scramble out the window,” said a fire bridge spokesman.

The man initially claimed he could not remember how he got out onto the narrow ledge. But the woman eventually spilled the beans.

She said she’d brought the man home with her, not expecting her husband would return home early from a business trip.

Her lover had apparently just managed to scramble out of the window when her spouse came into the bedroom.

Firemen couldn’t rescue the man with a ladder, so they attached a rope to him and pulled him to safety.

“He had apparently been drinking a fair amount, and that probably gave him the courage to jump onto the ledge,” said the fire brigade spokesman.

“But by the morning he realised it would be extremely foolish to attempt to climb back [into the flat],” he added.
