Cheeky Castlemilk cow attempts to 'chap front door' as cattle spotted 'running around' estate

Residents on a quiet street in Castlemilk were recently visited by two unlikely guests with one of them attempting to moo-ve into a property leaving locals howling.

Two cheeky cows found themselves wandering Holmbyre Court which left locals confused as to why they were there. In one video shared online, a brown cow can be seen patiently waiting at the front door of a house.

The cattle appears to be chapping on the door before a confused resident opens it and abruptly shuts it when she realises the cow was trying to get inside.

After waiting a few seconds, the cow gives up and runs towards the road before joining forces with a black and white cow. The pair make off as residents watch on from the street and their windows.

The woman who opened the door was visiting a friend when the encounter took place with the cows, who are understood to have escaped from a nearby farm.

She told Glasgow Live: "My friend looked out the window and said there's a horse in my garden. I went to look and said it's a cow.

"I went to open the door to see it and it causally just went to walk in so I had to close the door quickly. It was so funny, I'm still laughing about it.

"It is not something that happens everyday."

In another clip, the brown cow is seen 'chasing' a young girl down the street before she jumps into her mum's car.

The cow chased a girl who jumped inside her mum's car.
The cattle are understood to have escaped from a farm.

Her mum said: "I just thought it was hilarious the way she ran round the corner like Usain Bolt, followed by this massive brown cow galloping after her like it was a horse.

"She jumped in the car and then it was trying to get in the other house.

"The poor things were spooked, it was a shame, but the farmer was phoned so he got them back safely."
