Best-selling author and cook Alison Roman is launching a new podcast, Solicited Advice, with Talkhouse.

The podcast, which will air every Thursday, will see Roman paired with a celebrity guest and giving advice to live and recorded callers on everything from dating and other social interactions to cooking. The series premiere launched Thursday, and the first season features conversations with Tinx, Cat Cohen, Raven Smith, Heléne Yorke, and more.

“I am so excited to have a better, deeper, wide-reaching platform to answer the questions I get on a daily basis, and to talk about something other than cooking (I contain multitudes!) with some of the funniest and smartest people I know. It’s long been my dream to follow in Delilah’s footsteps, to stand on the shoulders of Car Talk – here’s hoping this podcast comes close to either,” Roman said in a statement.

Podcast network Talkhouse is providing distribution and revenue support for Solicited Advice. It joins other shows on the network, including Björk: Sonic Symbolism, How Long Gone, Open Mike Eagle’s What Had Happened Was.

The podcast comes after Roman’s show with CNN, which had been entitled (More Than) A Cooking Show, was canceled, after shooting two seasons, according to Roman. The show was originally meant to premiere on CNN+, until the streamer itself was canceled.

Roman has also written several bestselling cookbooks, including Nothing Fancy, Dining In and Sweet Enough. She writes a bi-weeekly newsletter and has also created the YouTube series Home Movies.
