Casualty star Chelsea Halfpenny is one of the rumoured names to be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing when it returns to our screens in the autumn.

The actress plays doctor Alicia Munroe in the BBC soap and it looks like she's learnt something from the role about keeping things confidential.

When quizzed about the rumours by Radio Times, Chelsea was careful not to give anything away.

"I mean, I always say 'never say never' but I just have to mention that I am not as light on my feet as my auntie – I don't think I would have the success that she had!" Chelsea said.

Her auntie, of course, is actress Jill Halfpenny, who won Strictly's second series way back in 2004.

"She is definitely the dancer in the family," Chelsea added. "I'm a bit more heavy-footed, for sure.

"Also, when I watch Strictly now, the people that do it are just so brilliant. When I watch it they all look like professionals."

But somewhat suspiciously, Chelsea also revealed she's recently taken up tap dancing lessons.

"I was just like, you know what, I feel like I work a lot and then I just kind of go home after and go to bed and I was like 'I'm going to do something for me'.

"They do adult tap classes just around the corner and we dance to Shania Twain. It's hilarious."

Hmm, if you were hoping to throw us off the scent there, Chelsea, it didn't quite work.

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One later this year, while Casualty continues tomorrow night (May 26) at 8.25pm on BBC One.
