Chennai Central Railway Station was among 3,000 buildings in the city lit up in the colors of the Indian flag on Sunday, August 14, ahead of the country’s 75th Independence Day on Monday, August 15.
Footage recorded by @dr_vijaybalaji shows the eastern India rail hub lit up in orange, green, and white, the colors of the Indian flag.
Local media reported that the lighting was part of a local government campaign to light up 3,000 buildings in the city. Thousands of flags were also being raised at locations around Chennai, the report said.
