Cher believes in life after Donald Trump.

The Goddess of Pop is headed to Arizona and Nevada this weekend to share her support for Joe Biden, according to the former vice president’s campaign.

An outspoken critic of the president, it’s clear the singer and actress believes the United States is living in a house divided under Mr Trump.

She has previously attended virtual fundraising events for Mr Biden, including a recent LGBT-themed initiative where she was the special guest. That event raised over $2 million.

It would now appear that all she really wants to do is promote Mr Biden’s candidacy, writing in a tweet on Monday: “Going Nevada & Arizona to speak on behalf of BIDEN HARRIS.”

The Democratic Party has found someone capable of amassing grassroots fundraising support in Cher, who also campaigned for Hillary Clinton in 2016, when she blasted Mr Trump as a “f***ing idiot” at a fundraiser in Provincetown, Massachusetts.

Mr Biden’s campaign wrote in a statement on Thursday: “This weekend, award-winning singer and actress Cher will travel to Nevada and Arizona to campaign on behalf of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.”

The statement said she would visit Las Vegas — where Cher recently had her third concert residency, entitled “Classic Cher” — on Saturday.

She was then scheduled on Sunday to head to Phoenix, where the singer was previously set to host the first major concert in the city in five years as part of her “Here We Go Again” tour, which was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Actress Kerry Washington and her husband Nnamdi Asomugha were also set to speak with voters on behalf of the former vice president campaign on Friday in Maricopa County, Arizona.
