Cheryl’s Instagram HACKED: Trolls write ‘F*** Liam Payne’ on her social media account

With pregnancy speculation growing faster than any baby bump, Cheryl has been silent on Instagram for the past week – but her latest post is sending shockwaves around the social-media sphere.

The singer, who has amassed 2.7m followers on her picture-sharing account, seemingly became the victim of a cyber attack on Monday morning, with a hacker flooding her page with satanic messages targeting Liam Payne.

Marking the first sign that something wasn’t quite right, the opening post encouraged people to follow a random Twitter account, captioned with the words: “Hes my bae!! (sic)”

Moving swiftly on, the second and third posts were much more sinister, with one message alongside an upside down cross reading: “666 f*** Liam Payne,” in reference to her One Direction beau.

Whilst another image featured a “666” cross along with the morbid message: “HAIL SATAN 666 B**** THATS WHAT WE DO (sic)” - revealing that heavy usage of the Caps Lock key is something else that they do.

Followers were quick to point out the star had been hacked, asking people to report the pictures, with one writing: “@instagram pls do something for goodness sake (sic).”

One user called out the hacker, commenting: “Are people actually so stupid that they hack someone, then post their name? Get a brain. And a life,” as another added: “Such a sad world we live in. Get a job and focus on that. Not hacking someone. Suppose that’s the closest you’ll get to being a someone.”

Ultimately, Cheryl’s Soldiers claimed virtual victory as the posts remained on her feed for a mere 45 minutes until they were removed.

Meanwhile, Cheryl recently confirmed she has finalised her divorce from Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, with reports claiming that the case was concluded in just 14 seconds at London’s Central Family Court.

The star’s rep said in a statement: “Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini have today obtained Decree Nisi in their divorce proceedings. No further comment will be made and they ask for their privacy to be respected.”
