Chico Slimani from X Factor 2005 rushed to hospital after suffering stroke

Former X Factor star Chico has been rushed to hospital after suffering a stroke, aged 47.

The singer, full name Chico Slimani, is currently undergoing tests, his agent confirmed.

In a statement they said: “We can confirm that Chico has sadly suffered a stroke.

“This has been a great shock to Chico, his wife and their two children, also his close friends and family .

“We Thankyou in advance for giving Chico and the family some privacy at this time.

“Chico is now undergoing further tests and further statements will be released shortly.”

Chico found fame after auditioning for The X Factor in 2005 in which he finished fifth.

He went on to enjoy chart success with his catchy hit, It’s Chico Time.

He has two daughters, Lalla-Khira and Zacharia, with his wife Daniyela.
