Child injured after incident at Canons C of E Primary School in Bedworth

A young child was left injured following an incident in Bedworth. It reportedly happened at The Canons C of E Primary School.

Paramedics were called to Derwent Road at around 12.30pm on Friday (June 28). Crews found an injured child, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

Medics found that the young child had sustained injuries, which were not believed to be life-threatening. Crews transported the child, who has not been named, to University Hospital Coventry in Coventry.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 12.32pm to an injured patient on Derwent Road in Bedworth. One ambulance attended.

“Crews assessed a child who had sustained injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, and they were conveyed to University Hospital Coventry for further treatment.”
