Child Superfan Gifts Artwork to Bucks Forward Giannis Antetokounmpo

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo was hosting an autograph signing in Stoughton, Wisconsion, on March 27 when a young fan presented him a jersey to sign, as well as a bright purple folder.

In that folder was 11-year-old Lily’s accumulated artwork for the year, all dedicated to Antetokounmpo who, as a native to Athens, is affectionately known by fans as the “Greek Freak”.

Antetokounmpo got up to hug Lily and thanked her for the gift. “This is amazing,” he told her. "You did all this? Thank you.” The Bucks’ star’s warm reaction brought Lily to tears.

Lily’s father, Pete Stauffer, said she worked on “several art projects for a year and a half, and kept them in a folder in the hopes to one day deliver to the Greek Freak."

Lily’s was later interviewed by local media, and told them they had traveled for an hour to get to the venue, before waited in line for five hours to meet Antetokounmpo. She said she started crying because she “always dreamed of seeing him,” and was “astonished” by Antetokounmpo’s reaction. Credit: Pete Stauffer via Storyful
