Yahoo News Children's car seat recalled with warning to 'stop use immediately' due to safety fears
Parents are being urged to immediately stop using a car seat which has been recalled over safety fears.
Certain batches of the Solar Group 1 2 3 Isofix Car Seat have been recalled as the item presents a risk of injuries, the Office for Product Safety and Standards says. It adds: "There is a small internal component issue in certain batches of car seat, which may result in the harness not locking properly when pulled.
"This could potentially compromise the safety of the child. The affected products do not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005. The affected batches have been recalled from end users."

The affected car seats were sold via Amazon and Ickle Bubba between February 1 and February 23 this year. A safety notice on the Ickle Bubba website says: "We have identified a potential safety concern relating to a small internal component issue on the Solar Group 1 2 3 Isofix Car Seat. This issue only impacts certain batches of car seats, sold via icklebubba.com and amazon.co.uk between 01/02/2024 and 23/02/2024.
"Please refer to our Safety Notice for full details on the batches. All car seats from later batches are not affected. Only purchases made between 01/02/2024 and 23/02/2024 are affected.
"The safety of our customers is paramount to us, and we endeavour to ensure their safety through all our actions. We want to reassure you that our products are continually assessed and tested to ensure they meet our exacting expectations of safety, and we will always take the appropriate actions to keep our customers as safe as possible. We apologise for any concern or inconvenience this may have caused you."
The notice also adds: "If your product is from the affected batches please stop use immediately. We will arrange collection and issue a replacement or a refund depending on your preference."
