Chris Martin ‘Finally Signs Divorce Papers’ To Uncouple From Gwyneth Paltrow For Good

He left the legal documents that would end their marriage unsigned for 10 months.

But Chris Martin has now reportedly consciously uncoupled with estranged wife Gwyneth Paltrow for good by finally signing their divorce papers.

It’s said the pair, below at a benefit in 2014, will receive joint legal custody of kids Apple and Moses and they are likely to split their joint wealth of £200million.

A source told today’s The Sun: “Chris has now signed the divorce papers. There was no underlying reason why he had left them for so long and he was planning to do it eventually.

“There is no bad blood between him and Gwyneth and they remain very close. As ever, their number one priority is their kids.”

Oscar-winning Paltrow made the decision in April to finalise their divorce after the couple split two years earlier and announced their separation in March 2014 – coining the notorious term “conscious uncoupling” in their break-up statement.

Coldplay frontman Martin, 39, has since dated actress Jennifer Lawrence, 25, before getting together with current girlfriend, Oxford-born Peaky Blinders actress Annabelle Wallis, 31. Paltrow, 43, is seeing TV writer and Glee co-creator Brad Falchuk, 44.

In an interview at the weekend Martin, above with Paltrow in Hawaii in 2002, showed the couple were philosophical about the split.

He said: “It’s a divorce but it’s a weird one. I see it more like you meet someone, you have some time together and things just move through.”

Paltrow has added: “We’re very, very close, and it’s so nice. I feel like it’s, in a way, the relationship we were meant to have.”
