One of the things we love the most about Chrissy Teigen is her openness on social media, and that includes her most recent pregnancy experience.

The mum-of-two, who is currently expecting with her third child with husband John Legend, revealed on Twitter yesterday (September 22) that she's been experiencing some unusual pregnancy symptoms, alongside cravings and headaches.

Posting that she's been 'having a lot of pain' on the bridge of her nose, she quoted an old wives' tale that your nose 'spreads' during pregnancy.

'I believe it because I've seen it on myself!' the model and Cravings author told her 13.1 million followers.

While the NHS doesn't list nose spreading as an official symptom, it sounds like a common side effect of pregnancy that many women can relate to, if the post's comments are anything to go by.

One follower wrote: 'Yes, it was extra puffy. My 3rd baby was almost ten pounds and I’m pretty sure my nose carried half the weight. I felt extra sniffly.'

While another commented: 'This is my second pregnancy. When I was pregnant the last time my nose did spread, but my lips also got fuller.'

'I swear I’ve noticed this! Like I can see my nose getting bigger and every once in a while will feel a mild pain like I got hit in the nose!' said another.

Limited research has been done into this area but it has been suggested that hormonal changes are responsible for various pregnancy swellings. Indeed many of Chrissy's followers, whilst not being able to relate to the 'nose spreading', complained of huge, swollen feet when expecting.

'Not my nose but my feet grew a full size when I was pregnant! And they never went back to normal,' claimed one follower.

It's not just nose spreading that Chrissy has complained of during her third pregnancy, she's also been suffering from intense headaches.

'I get really really bad pregnancy headaches. Was thrilled to be cleared to do neck muscle Botox along with a crazy combo of beta blocker shots and radio wave frequency something something doctor terms. Anyhow man it’s just so bad but I see the light finally,' she revealed on Twitter.

Poor Chrissy, we hope this is the end of the worst symptoms for now!
