Christine McGuinness supported by Gogglebox star as she makes 'nervous' announcement

Christine McGuinness has been flooded with support as she revealed she has signed up for the next season of Celebrity MasterChef.

The former Miss Liverpool will don her apron for the upcoming star-studded season of the popular BBC programme. The 33-year-old will compete against stars such as Strictly Come Dancing's Vito Coppola and Love Island's Chloe Burrows.

The mum-of-three confirmed the news on her Instagram account and admitted she is going through a range of emotions as she takes on the new challenge. She said: "Allow me to serve you!

"I am very excited (and nervous ) to say “I will be BACK ON YOUR SCREENS later this summer!”

Gogglebox star Izzi Warner and former Coronation Street actor, Helen Flanagan, were among the thousands to like the post. Fans wished Christine well ahead of her stint on the show.
