It's official: Kew Gardens is the prettiest place in London this Christmas.

Last night the horticultural wonderland opened its doors to give London's Instagram community the holy grail of festive shots: the #sparklegram.

Glowing orbs, trails of pretty lights, sparkling trees and some cracking light shows are on display at the iconic UNESCO-listed botanical gardens from tonight until January 1 next year.

In total, there are more than one million lights twinkling, crystals galore, a few art installations and even something called a ‘scented fire corridor’. For the little ones, there are also fairground rides and Father Christmas himself.

Best part? All the trails are scented with the smells of roasted chestnuts and mulled cider (Christmas bascially). You can even toast your own marshmallows under a glowing open fire, too. #lifegoals

Christmas at Kew is open now until January 1 at Kew Gardens, TW9 3AB. Tickets can be booked here.
