Cilla Black’s Resting Place STILL Without Gravestone After It Was Ransacked By Ghouls

Despite a national outpouring of grief and star-studded funeral, a rotting slab of plywood, withered flowers and water-logged tributes are all that mark her grave.

Seven months after Cilla Black’s death, her muddy resting place is still without a headstone after it was reportedly ransacked by ghoulish thieves.

The iconic TV entertainer died in August aged 72 of a stroke following a fall at her villa in Spain, and her grave at Liverpool’s Allerton Cemetery has become a muddy patch.

A white and blue floral tribute featuring the image of a clef as a tribute to the star’s glittering music career has faded, while photo frames have been water damaged and toppled over.

Daffodils from the neighbouring plot are scattered over it and a wreath of roses is badly damaged.

Fans have been left shocked after making the journey to see the ‘memorial’.

The grave has been without any form of plaque since January when thieves stole the bronze nameplate that marked where the Blind Date TV host was laid to rest.

Emblazoned with Cilla’s full name Priscilla Maria Veronica Willis, the plaque was replaced with a plastic sign by workmen in order to maintain records until the headstone is laid.

However, even that now seems to have disappeared.

Last month, pictures showed that the grave had been transformed weeks after being left a mess when yobs stole a bronze memorial plaque inscribed with her name.

One local resident was quoted in today’s The Sun saying: “I came before Christmas and it was frankly a disgrace and embarrassing.”

It wasn’t the first time her final resting place was disrespected.

At Cilla’s funeral in August, fans gatecrashed her private burial and took invasive pictures and videos as she was laid to rest.
