A city centre shop has closed in another blow to the high street.

Sweaty Betty in East Street, Brighton, shut its doors today (July 3).

The location in East Street initially opened in October 2021, following the closure of the Regents Arcade store.

This latest closure follows those of fashion retailers Sandro and Maje in January.

Then in February, Poundland, in North Street, shut its doors after it was unable to renew its lease.

It was recently announced the unit will be turned into a B&Q Local.

Longstanding hardware shop and locksmith Dockerills, in Church Street, also announced it will close at the end of September.
